Business on the Books Report - Coming Soon!


Learning Objectives

In this lesson you will learn… 

  1. How to look at how much business you have on the books compared to last year, and same time last year. 

  2. How to view your business on the books from various perspectives (e.g. by segment, by rate code, by source of business etc)

  3. How to view the Business On the Books dashboard

  4. How to understand the information displayed on it



Report Overview

The Business on the Books dashboard allows you to view past and future performance in terms of key metrics:  occupancy, ADR, revenue, RevPar as well as total revenue, and total RevPar.  You will see graphs so you can visually understand the nature of your business.


You can view this information for a single property, or a group of properties or your entire portfolio. 




Report Uses 

You can use the report to … 

  • Evaluate your business on the books and compare it to forecast, budget

  • Compare your business on the books to last year’s actual performance to see how you are doing looking ahead.

  • View the trends of your business on the books of this year to last year, including cancellations.

  • Review your business on the books based on reservations vs reservations per bookings, per category, per segment, per rate code, or distribution channel 

  • You can review your business by source of business from your PMS (if integrated) and per room type

  • And you can compare business on the books this year to last, and also ‘same time last year’.
