How to Reset a User in Thynk

If a user has forgotten their log in details/or password, they should contact the hotel Thynk Admin so they can reset the user in Setup.

Once the steps below have been completed, ask the user to check their email inbox (also check spam) for an email from Salesforce, which will ask them to reset their password.

Note: this reset link expires after 24 hours of receipt of the email.




1. Go to Home | Salesforce

5. There are two ways of resetting a password. The first method is to find the user you need to reset and click on them.

6. This opens the user's details. Click on 'Reset Password'.  After this, you will get a message asking if you wish to continue to reset or cancel.

7. Click on 'Ok'

8. The second method is to use the checkbox in front of the user(s) you need to reset. This is a great way of resetting multiple users in one step.

9. Find the user(s) you need to reset and tick the checkbox in front of the user name(s)

10. Once you have selected the check box, click on 'Reset Password'

11. You will receive a message asking if you wish to continue to reset or cancel

12. A reset link will now be sent directly to the user(s) by Salesforce. Ask them to check their Inbox or Spam and follow the instructions. This must be done within 24 hours or the reset will expire, and you will need to reset again.
