What is an Object?

Salesforce allows you to navigate easily between different fields making it very easy to use. 

What is an Object? 

  • 'Objects' are each category that you can find on the menu, which is the base of the database  
  • For example, “Account” will be an object as well as “Contact" 
  • You will find different 'records' in each category, or 'Object'

How to Create a New Object?

  1. This is the Object category
  2. To create a new object or edit an existing one, click on the 'pencil' icon on the right of the screen
  3. The list of accounts on the screenshot above, represents the 'records' within the Account 'object'
