At the end of this lesson you will know how to….
See your bookings for the current arrival year.
In a previous lesson we explained about List Views and how to edit them in Thynk. List views are a quick way to pull up lists without having to create reports.
If you’d like to see your bookings for the current year, you can view them in a List View we have created. Follow these steps to run this specific list view:
At the Home Page, click on the ‘Bookings’ tab.
This opens your ‘Recently Viewed’ List View. To change this, click on the down arrow, and you will see the standard list views.
Click on ‘Bookings by Owner Current Year’ to run the list. You will see the bookings by booking name alphabetically ordered. You can change the sort by hovering over the field heading on the column you wish to sort, and click on the down arrow.
As in all List Views, to see what filters have been applied, they should be all listed just below the list view name, or click on the filter icon on the top right. You can also edit any filters.
In this case, the filters are: Filter by Owner will show the bookings you have created, arrival date =the current year, close reason = not equal to lost, cancelled or refused. This means, you are seeing all other active booking statuses here. Record type = main, which is the same as all record types.
The lesson about editing your list views (see links below this lesson) tells you how to make edits but basically, if you want to change any of these filters, click into the filter box and you will see your options.
And of course, you can click into any booking from the list view. If you want to keep your account listing open you can right click on the booking to open in a new tab.
List views are really helpful if you want to create simple lists without creating reports. They can be useful also for prospecting or if you are planning a sales trip, you can create a list of your own pulling accounts in the geographic region you are planning to visit.
Any user can create their own list view. If you get stuck, contact your Thynk admin for help.
