At the end of this lesson you will know how to….
See your sales pipeline for this month
See your sales pipeline for next month
List views are a quick way to pull up lists without having to create reports. Any user can create their own list view. In a previous lesson we explained about List Views and how to edit them in Thynk.
If you want to pull up your sales pipeline for bookings arriving this month, we have created a list view for this. This list view can help you get an understanding of which bookings have an arrival of this/next month, so you can check their booking statuses. Hopefully, they should be all ‘closed - won’, or ‘definite’. If not, you’d need to follow up asap.
There is another version of this list view, which is called ‘Sales Pipeline Next Month’, both are found in the Booking tab list views.
Follow these steps to run this specific list view:
At the Home Page, click on the ‘Bookings’ tab.
This opens your ‘Recently Viewed’ List View. To change this, click on the down arrow, and you will see the standard list views.
Click on ‘Sales Pipeline This Month’ to run the list. You will see the bookings sorted alphabetically on the booking name. You can change the sort by hovering over the field heading on the column you wish to sort, and click on the down arrow.
As in all List Views, to see what filters have been applied, you can see the filters used listed under the list view name, or click on the filter icon on the top right. You can also edit any filters.
In this case, the filters are: ‘Filter by Owner’ = all bookings, ‘Arrival Date’ = This month. Close reason = not equal to lost, canceled, refused. If this example doesn’t show your statuses /closed reasons, please don’t worry. These should be the ones you have at your property. And don’t forget, you can change them yourself.
The lesson about editing your list views tells you how to make edits but basically, if you want to change any of these filters, click into the filter box and you will see your options.
And you can click into any booking from the list view. If you want to keep your account listing open you can right click on the booking to open in a new tab.
To run the Sales Pipeline Next Month list view, just select this view under the Bookings tab, and repeat the steps above. The filters in this case, will show all bookings with the arrival day of next month.
List views are really helpful if you want to create simple lists without creating reports. This list view can help you get an understanding of which bookings have an arrival of this/next month, so you can check their booking statuses. Hopefully, they should be all ‘closed - won’, or ‘definite’. If not, you’d need to follow up asap.
Any user can create their own list view. If you get stuck, contact your Thynk admin for help.
