How to run a Monthly Revenue and Guest Room Summary.
How to understand the information you see on the report.
This report shows you by arrival month how much guest room and event revenue is booked for your property (properties). You can also view the individual bookings by month.
Please refer to the lesson and knowledge base article on how to edit reports if needed.
To run this report, follow these steps:
At the Home Page go Reports → All Folders → Thynk Reports and click on the Monthly Revenue & Guest Room Summary.
As always, once you have opened this report, you will find it under the Reports tab and you can skip the ‘All Folders’ steps.
The report will run with its predefined filters, which you can view by clicking on the filter icon.
In this case, the filters are as following: All properties ( you have access to), Arrival date = current year, Owner = you, Type, Market Segment, Status, Close Reasons.
You can view detailed bookings by clicking on the ‘Show Detail Rows’ on the bottom left.
You can export the list or add the report to your dashboard by clicking on the down arrow to the right of the ‘Edit’ button.
If you have access to more than property, you will see all properties listed. Within each property, a monthly breakdown from January to December appears on the left.
Sum of Guest Rooms = is the total number of guest rooms.
Sum of Guest Room Revenue = is the total revenue for guest rooms for the arrival month.
Sum of Event Revenue is for event revenue for the month.
Sum of Revenue = total of guest room and event revenue for the month.
Average Guest Rooom Rate is the ADR.
Below the December month, you will see the subtotal for the year for all the columns.
Scroll down to see the rest of the properties (if applicable).
Scroll down and if you toggle the ‘Detail Rows’ switch, you will see all bookings listed within each month. And you can click onto any booking to view it. To go back to the previous view without the bookings, click on the ‘Detail Rows’ switch again.
