Guest Rooms - Set up a Default Occupancy type

We're excited to announce that now you can set up your Default Occupancy value. As a user when creating a Guest Room record, if they leave the field blank, after saving the default occupancy will populate. This can save your users time, especially when you normally use a specific occupancy. If you're interesting in setting up your Default Occupancy, please reach out to our support team.

Package Items - New Rules between Meeting Rooms and Products:

We're excited to announce a significant update that addresses the issues many customers faced when creating Booking Packages. We've listened to your feedback and made a change in how our system handles Packages.

What's Changing: Previously, the requirement for a Product's start and end times to fall within the associated Meeting Room's timeframe was only enforced at the Booking level. We are now extending this process to the Package level to eliminate any further errors.

How It Works: Moving forward, when a Package Item of type "Product" or "Combo Product" is related to a specific Package Item of type "Meeting Room," is the Product's start and end times must fall within the "Meeting Rooms" timeframe.

Example:
A Product Fruit Platter is provided at this Breakout session in the Grand Ballroom Meeting room.
  1. You have added the Grand Ballroom Meeting Room to your Package from 10 AM to 2 PM. The Fruit Platter Product must be scheduled within the Meeting Rooms timeframe (e.g., 10 AM to 1 PM).
  2. If you update the Grand Ballroom Meeting Room to 9 AM to 3 PM, the Fruit Platter Product time will remain unchanged (10 AM to 1 PM).
  3. However, if you adjust the Grand Ballroom Meeting Room to 11 AM to 12 PM, the Fruit Platter Product will automatically update to match the new timeframe (11 AM to 12 PM).

Impact on Existing Active Packages:
  1. These will remain unchanged, however if you would like existing active Packages to also be updated, please reach out to our support team. This update will support errors that customers have experienced.

Important Note:
  1. This change is mandatory, and has been implemented at the Package level. This should be managed by Admins, we recommend that admins review after editing / creating packages to ensure all timings are setup accordingly.
  2. At the Booking level, depending on the setup of your Impact timing field, users can choose to maintain or remove this relationship.

This update is designed to enhance the accuracy and reliability of your bookings, ensuring that all Products are properly aligned with their associated Meeting Rooms.
