How to Check Guest Room Availability

Checking Availability 

You have uncovered a great piece of business and discussed it with your customer. They would like for you to go ahead and check dates and rates, and give them a proposal. 


First things first, you need to check space. If the guest rooms are available, you can go ahead with blocking the rooms, however, if the guest rooms aren’t available, or it's looking like you will sell out, you can then ask your customer if their dates are flexible and try to fit them in. 


There are Three Ways of Checking Guest Room Availability

  1. From the ‘Global Actions’ button on the top right of the screen,

  2. From the Combined Availability, if your hotel is configured to show this,

  3. From the booking itself.

Best Practices for Checking Availability

  • If you have a PMS interface, guest room availability is updated from the PMS directly into Thynk.

  • It doesn’t matter which method you chose, the information you see should be the same.

  • If you are working for a company that has multiple properties, you can select the property you wish to view.
