Finding a Rooming List

Depending on your hotel’s SOPs, the sales team can upload group rooming lists into Thynk.  There could be few scenarios:

  1. If your hotel has a PMS integration with Thynk, any rooming lists uploaded by the sales team will automatically generate reservations and be sent to the PMS. And, you can still view the rooming list in Thynk. 
  1. If your hotel doesn’t have a PMS integration, Sales can still upload rooming lists into Thynk, and depending on your access to Thynk, you can look these up on the respective booking. 
  1. If your SOPs say that the rooming lists are sent to Reservations by email or whatever other method instead of uploading into Thynk, you won’t find the rooming list in Thynk. 

Again, you will need to check your SOPs. 


Of course, you must have at least ‘Read only’ access to Thynk to be able to look for rooming lists! 

To find a rooming list in Thynk, follow these steps: 


  1. On your Thynk Home Page, click on the 'Bookings' tab, or if you know the specific booking name, you can use the search field on the top of your screen and type it in there to find it and open it.

  1. To find the rooming list, scroll down to the last section called 'Files'. Under this, you will see the rooming list spreadsheet. If there are several spreadsheets, you should click on the most recent one to open it. This is the rooming list.

Best Practices for Rooming Lists 

  • While Thynk allows the sales team to upload rooming lists, you should refer to your SOPs for the proper procedure implemented by your hotel.

  • For the most recently uploaded rooming list, always look for the most recent Excel spreadsheet attached on the booking itself.
