Quotes / Bookings contain details about bookings such as the account information, contact for the booking, guest rooms blocked, function rooms, commissions, packages and more. Here are some of the latest updates to help you manage your bookings more effectively and efficiently.
All records related to a quote are updated and overbooking is triggered if the resource is changed and is already booked.
All optional records will have a default sales price of 0 when quote is cloned.
The process of sending the reservation guests to your PMS has been optimized so all guests are now sent, regardless of the quote size.
Special characters such as “ü” are now supported in a quote’s name.
Packages provide you the ability to bundle services together to deliver unique and personalized value to your customers.
Discounts can now be applied to combo products that are part of a package.
The Group Booking feature is used to enter the room block for your quotes by room type, rate type and occupancy type. It is a great visual method of adding and adjusting your room blocks. In this release, we’ve listened to your feedback about the design of the Group Booking feature and made the following changes and read more about how to use Group Booking here.
The presentation of active or inactive days on the group booking grid has been updated to make it easier to identify inactive days with gray text. When checking a day to activate the text color will change immediately to black.
Labels have been updated such as the “New” Hotel Room button in the grid to more clearly indicate what fields you are adding.
Myce Rates are now the only rates to select on the Rate list.
The delete button has been moved to the left next to the copy button for ease of use.
When hotel rooms are a part of a package, they are not editable in the group booking tool. There is now a lock icon for these hotel rooms to provide a clearer explanation for why these rows are uneditable.
Two-way integrations with PMS providers ensure that your data is always up-to-date and clean. We include integration with Oracle Opera, Mews and StayNTouch. As you share your feedback, we continue to optimize the experience and take advantage of new features that our partners are releasing on their roadmap. Here are some of the features we have added to the Thynk platform to create a seamless experience where you can do your work in Thynk and trust that data is flowing with your other systems.
We are continuing to monitor Mews API updates and add fields as they become available. In this release, we have added gender when sending Guests to Mews.
The automated process for fetching rate prices and availability from Mews has been optimized to ensure data is synchronized between Thynk and Mews.
Enhancements to the account data processing to ensure that fields such as Billing Address are appropriately updated in both systems.
We understand that sometimes you need to update the release date on reservations in Mews. Updates to the release date in Thynk are now sent to Mews up until the reservations have been confirmed, at which point changes to the release date in Thynk will no longer have an impact.
In this release we’ve updated the account data processing for the Opera integration to ensure that your PMS Account data is synchronized with Thynk, while preventing duplicated and incorrect data. Read more about PMS Accounts here .
New fields have been added on the Account and PMS Account for the Primary address. These fields will always capture the primary address from Opera, regardless of if it’s a Shipping or Billing Address
When Opera Address Type is Billing or Shipping, these fields will be automatically added to the Account. If you have different labels that designate Billing and Shipping in Opera, you can work with your Delivery Manager to set up the correct mapping.
When “Create Account” is checked on a PMS Account, the account is created instantly.
Previously, PMS Accounts were not automatically linked to an Account unless “Sync account” was manually checked. This field is now checked by default for all PMS Accounts. This means that if a PMS Account matches any Accounts, the two will be automatically linked.
The Scheduler is where you can see available function rooms (for all of your properties) along with those that have already been blocked. You can create and manage events right on the scheduler and change your view to be by day, week, month, or even a custom date range.
We know that you have different levels of details that you need to see together so we support multiple instances of the scheduler displayed at the same time! We love the feedback you have shared on this experience so far and have made a minor update to make it easier for you visually:
You can more effectively adjust your view by dragging the vertical column to increase or decrease the width of the resources section relative to the dates.
