Enhanced Room Block Manager

Note this is only for customers integrated with Mews

We’re excited to announce a new enhancement allowing Sales Managers to have multiple rows of the same room type applied within a Room Block. This comes from your important feedback due to a limitation in Mews.

Now Thynk has created a way to set up multiple rows of the same Room Type within a Room Block which will be sent to Mews as 1 record versus multiple records. 

What’s changed? Your Sales Managers will now see an Is Primary Star icon for each row within a Room Block. Once you have more than 1 row using the same room type in a Room Block, only one row will be able to have the Is Primary star icon selected. 

Note this is auto-selected depending on your Default Occupancy type which has been set up by your admin, however as a Sales Manager you can also change this. 

What gets sent to Mews? Rows within a Room Block with the same Room type, we will tally the number of Blocked rooms and send it to Mews using the Nightly Rate Price and Occupancy type defined on the Is Primary row (selected star icon).

For example: As a Sales Manager you have added these rooms to your Room Block.

• Standard Room with Double Occupancy

• Primary Icon: Selected 

• Blocked Rooms: 5 

• Nightly Rate: 150 euro
  
  

• Standard Room with Single Occupancy

• Primary Icon: Un-Selected 

• Blocked Rooms: 2 

• Nightly Rate: 80 euro
  
  

• Deluxe Suite with Single Occupancy

• Primary Icon: Selected 

• Blocked Rooms: 1 

• Nightly Rate: 100 euro

Thynk will then tally the total Blocked rooms for the rows with the same Rooms Type and send the total to Mews using the nightly rate and occupancy type defined on the Is Primary row.

In this example, that means in Mews there will be 7 blocked “Standard Rooms” at double occupancy, with a nightly rate of 150 euro, and 1 blocked “Deluxe Suite” at single occupancy with a nightly rate of 100 euro.

Important Note: You will still need to manually update the Mews block with any required occupancy adjustments. As Thynk will only send the one occupancy type defined on the Is Primary row. 

Refreshing Booking Packages related lists

We're happy to announce that now when you delete a Booking Package instead of manually refreshing the page to see that related Events and Booking Products are deleted as well, now the Thynk will auto-refresh them so you can remain on the page and immediately see the update.
