Introducing Thynk Lead

Thynk Lead is the ultimate solution for capturing inquiries on your hotel's website! With Thynk Lead, inquiries flow seamlessly through a branded external URL (for example:  www.hotel-brand.inquiry.thynk.cloud.com) or an embedded form on your website, keeping your brand identity intact. The form consists of 3 sections, General Information, Optional Details and Contact Information. Once submitted, inquiries appear instantly in your Thynk organization, triggering email notifications for both bookers and property agents.

Thynk Core-App

Enhanced Room Block Manager 

This is only available for early access customers, over the coming months we are planning to release this to everyone.

Here are some of our top highlights we wanted to share:
  1. Effortlessly add and edit rooms in one place, regardless of property, thanks to our multi-editing features
  2. Conveniently visualize and manage blocked rooms by property with multi-property blocks.
  3. Easily monitor pickup trends, visualize wash in the PMS, and manage reservations directly within Thynk.
  4. Excitingly, an Agreed/Blocked/Forecast model has been introduced, addressing a long-awaited feature request.



Bookings

Set Booking Tax based on Account Tax Type

Tired of always remembering to set your government bookings to be Tax Exempt?

We've introduced new fields where you can designate tax settings (for both VAT and Sales Tax) directly on the Account. Now, any bookings billed to those designated Accounts will automatically have the correct tax settings applied.


Track Booking Budgets

Three new budget fields ('F&B Budget', 'Guest Rooms Budget' & 'Total Budget') are now available on the booking, aligning with inquiries..

Now, when you convert an Inquiry, the Booking will automatically carry over any values from the inquiry budget fields. Plus, you have the flexibility to override or utilize them if there are no existing values, simplifying budget tracking for your convenience.


Additional Booking Roles

We have added 4 user lookup fields to help you define roles within your team for each booking. These can easily be included in customer facing documents.
The available roles are Catering Manager, Coordinator, On-Site Contact & Service Manager.

Booking Package Items

We have update the 'New' button on Booking Package Items to now allow users to select either Product or Events. Previously no options were given. 



Booking Products

We have added the 'Type' field (Product Type) on Booking Products for all customers. This enables filtering of the Product lookup field, allowing users to search for products within specific product types.


Products

Simple Inventory Tracking for Admins

On any “Equipment” product, admins can specify an Inventory AmountEx: Dew Drop Inn has 4 total cordless microphones on site, so the product created for ‘Cordless Microphones’ would have an Inventory Amount of 4

When Sales teams add the microphone product to events, they can easily check the inventory field to understand how many are available. This new field provides a simple means for admins to maintain an overview of available inventory for operational purposes.


Easy Sorting for Customer-Facing Documents

Do you find yourself constantly having to reorder products on your customer facing documents?

With the new Order field, you can set a numerical order to automatically sort products on contracts and proposals. On Combo Items, Booking Combo Items, Package Items, Booking Package Items the new Order # field is now available. Watch our demo here.


Property

Give Property Admins more control over documents in Thynk

Instead of manually changing each document whenever there's a modification, admins can simply update the Property, and the documents will be automatically updated accordingly.
  1. Payment Details
  2. Early Check-in fees & Late Check-out fees
  3. Indoor Parking Fees & Outdoor Parking Fees
  4. City Tax Amount & City Tax % (static)
  5. Policy Description

Please note that these fields are not yet configured to your documents. If you wish to include these fields in your documents, please reach out to our support team.

Relabled Fields

We've updated the following field names to make them easier to understand and to make them consistent throughout. All customers will see the standard field names once the upgrade is completed.

Multilingual Document Generation

  1. Three Language Name and Description fields are available to support multilingual external documents like Proposals, Contracts and more. You can use these fields on Booking Products, Events and more! If you’re interested in using these fields, please contact our Thynk support team.
    1. Primary Language fields are always called Name and Description
    2. Additional Language fields are always called Name Language 1 or 2 and Description Language 1 or 2
    3. Descriptions are always long text fields, any short descriptions will be labeled as Short Description

Dates

  1. On Guest Rooms, you’ll see Arrival Date and Departure Date (previously ‘start’ and ‘end’ date)
  2. On Products, Packages and Events, you’ll see Start Date and End Date (previously ‘to’ and ‘from’)

Standard Features

  1. Thynk allows Guest Rooms, Events, Combo Products and Products to be added to bookings and packages (previously ‘Hotel Rooms’, ‘Meeting Rooms’, ‘Combos’ and ‘Other’)
  2. Inquiries can be converted into Bookings (previously ‘Requests’ and ‘MYCE Quotes’)
  3. ‘Pax’ has been replaced with Guests
  4. ‘Travel Agency’ is now always Agency and ‘Agents’ are now always Agency Contacts

Misc. Updates

  1. 'Master Meeting Space' on Package Items/ Booking Package Items is now Default Function Space.
  2. ‘Resource’ on Booking Package is also Default Function Space
  3. On the Property and Payments, 'Payment' and 'Type' are now both Payment Method
  4. ‘Custom Price’ Booking Package Items and Booking Packages are now just Custom
  5. Payment Schedule ‘Date’ is now Due Date
  6. Sales Program ‘Remarks’ are now Post Sales Program Notes and ‘Sales’ is now Program Owner (used if the owner of the program is different from the creator)

Thynk Integrations

Mews

As we keep up to date with Mews enhancements, we continue to update the Mews integration.
  1. In this release, on the Rate object we now ensure the Rate type is filled in Thynk from the Mews integration.
  2. In Mews any rates of type Availability Block will be appropriately mapped in Thynk. Then when users are adding Guest Rooms to a Booking, rates of type ‘Availability Block’ will be excluded from the list of available rates accordingly.

  3. On the Rate object we now map Accounting Categories and Business Segments from Mews into Thynk.

New Dashboards

Space Revenue Optimization

The New Space Revenue Optimisation Dashboard allows you to:
  1. Analyse your function space usage and maximise their profitability per unit of space.
  2. Review Key Metrics to understand how your function space is used including Occupancy, Revenue, Attendance as well KPIs including Revenue Per Available Space (RevPAS) and Space-to-Room Ratio (SRR).
  3. Analyse space usage and evaluate how to maximise profitability per time periods (morning, lunch, afternoon and evening). Highlight need periods with high availability and derive strategy to boost demand. Share valuable information with the ownership for budgeting and dynamic pricing considerations.

Business on the Books (BOB) Dashboard

The updated Business on the Books (BOB) Dashboard with this release allows you to:
  1. Gain comprehensive insights into your business performances and understand your position and progress relative to key indicators with the BOB Dashboard.
  2. Quickly and dynamically assess trends, identify risks, and capitalise on business opportunities.
  3. Slice and dice your dashboard with various filters to delve deeper into your analysis and uncover hidden trends.
  4. The updated BOB Dashboard include the following new features:
At-a-Glance BOB Position Review:
  1. Compare your current BOB position against both budget and forecast, offering invaluable insights into your performance.
  2. Easily compare your BOB position against the same period last year, on a monthly basis and across business segments.
  3. Detailed BOB Analysis: Gain better insights into your Business on the Books by slicing and dicing the BOB per booking stage, segment, rate code, distribution channel, origin of business, and room types.
  4. Delve deeper into your BOB by examining it through key metrics such as length of stay and lead time for both confirmed and cancelled reservations.
  5. Track Cancellations : Monitor cancellations alongside your Business on the Books data using our interactive graph to identify valuable market trends.
  6. Seamless Portfolio Review: Access the dashboard effortlessly, whether you're at both property and multi-property levels to conduct a thorough top-line assessment across your portfolio.

Updated Dashboards
We have made several improvements and added new features to the following existing Dashboards:

Total Account Production

Take a look at the new features and improvements:
  1. Year-on-Year Comparison: See last year's actuals alongside year-on-year variations on the Total Account Production graph.
  2. Booked Date Filter: Now, not only can you filter by consumption date, but also by the date when reservations were made (booked date).
  3. Enhanced Insights: Get deeper insights into your account production with average length of stay and number of stays displayed on the dashboard. We are also introducing new filters like Cluster, Country, City, and Brand for better analysis.
  4. Top Account Filter: Easily filter accounts that have exceeded a user-defined threshold.

Top Accounts

Take a look at the new features and improvements:
  1. Data Display: You will be able to view Top Accounts' production in terms of both Revenue and Room Nights.
  2. Year-on-Year Comparison: See last year's actual alongside year-on-year variations on the Top Accounts chart.
  3. Top Accounts display: In addition to existing filters you will now have the ability to show accounts that are producing above or below a defined threshold.

Sales Manager Production

(Previously Sales Manager Productivity)

The following changes were made to improve the overall user experience:
  1. Dashboard Name Update: The term "Productivity" has been updated to "Production".
  2. Consistent Terminology: The term "Budgets" has been renamed to "Goals" for consistency.
  3. Filtering: Ability to now filter graphs to display either Rooms or Revenue. This functionality aligns with the existing data table view for consistency.
  4. Consumption Year Option: Users now have the flexibility to select multiple consumption years simultaneously, streamlining the analysis process.
